Abstract

Apollo Software project is a derivative of Apollo Project. Feature enhancements are added to the BSP, Audio, and Video subsystems. The Apollo Software project was a major subproject of the Apollo system project, which was a low‐cost HD/SD capable MPEG decoder SoC for Zapper and DVR STB solutions addressing the worldwide satellite, terrestrial, IPTV, and cable markets.

The aim of this project is to deliver a Platform Software Development Kit (SDK) capable of demonstrating the added features in the SoC, and provide a platform for the key customer Design‐in. In addition to delivering a platform SDK, another goal is to support verification and validation of the SoC, and deliver the software within the schedule to maximize value to the company. It will be managed by a project manager who will assign duties to teams. Major milestones of this project are specification, development, pre‐silicon validation, postsilicon validation, build, test and release.
