Abstract

This edition of The Landscape focuses on New Columbia, the redevelopment of a previous housing project, Columbia Villa, in Portland, Oregon. The design of the project, which included a mixture of market-rate and affordable housing, was an attempt to avoid the "ghoettoization" that affected Columbia Villa.
