In 1938, Arthur and Etoile Cox arrived in Portland from Kansas City. They published The Northwest Clarion from 1943-1961 and also owned and operated Cox Funeral Home in NE Portland. The Northwest Clarion is also known as The Northwest Clarion and Pacific Dispatch, with Pacific Dispatched published out of Seattle.
