Description

Five breweries made beer inspired by an 18th century French painting, "The Drunken Cobbler," by Jean-Baptiste Greuze. We attempted to ferment the beer with bacteria/yeast from the painting and in the museum air, but our samples had no fermentable bacteria, so brewers fermented the beer with their own strains.
