Abstract:

In this paper, we provide the tools and information that will allow any individual to determine how to achieve their retirement goals. We have created an excel spreadsheet which allows an individual to input where they are and where they want to be as well as their estimation of the inflation rate over the duration of the analysis. The spreadsheet then calculates the necessary yearly investments that are necessary to achieve those goals. These investments are displayed with their accompanying rates of return that would be necessary to achieve those goals.
