Abstract

While it is always a challenge to support and retain new teachers, supporting minority1 educators is especially significant if we are ever to reach a more equitable demographic balance in schools. Many teachers can feel overwhelmed and under-prepared to effectively address the cultural and linguistic diversity prevalent in today's classrooms. Additionally, minority teachers often experience distinct developmental issues too often neglected in support programs designed for new teachers.
