Abstract
The objective of this work is to implement and test the Zephyr RTOS on the NXP MCXN947 board with debugger support, then integrate the MCU into OreSat protocards to program and develop applications for OreSat1. Zephyr is a Soft real time operating system, open-source, designed for embedded devices. OreSat is a fully open-source CubeSat project. A CubeSat is a standardized, modular satellite with a compact box-shaped design. The basic unit, called a 1U CubeSat, measure 10 x 10 x 10 cm. Zephyr RTOS can be utilized to program and debug this board. A board directory for the breakout board has been created. The breakout board is ready for more testing, and will be running several programs. I will be working on programing the OreSat protocard when it is complete.
