Abstract
Technology strategies are not only required for companies within specific industries but also for economical systems like countries. This paper combines macro- & microeconomical frameworks to assess the technology strategy of Germany. After establishing the framework and applying it to the specific setting of Germany as a highly developed country the paper introduces the current situation of Germany and evaluates its current technology strategy under these circumstances. Significant findings underline the importance of the role of innovation and knowledge leadership. Ways to accomplish this goal are established and are evaluated in this paper.
