Abstract

Quality Project Management (QPM) is pleased to present the following Enterprise Project Management (EPM) Phase I Implementation Plan, for BASS Engineering (BASS). A transformation from the current strategic business model is necessary to support the transition from the current single owner to a four-party partnership within approximately five years. QPM's core mission was to formulate initial solutions for the most critical initial plan building blocks, in coordination with BASS executives. This plan focuses on the implementation of three important initial steps to be completed during the next 12 months to lay the groundwork for future EPM processes. These are:

  1. Initiate Behavioral Excellence in Top Management - This step is necessary to prepare executive leadership to successfully manage the transformation to come.
  2. Institute Culture Improvements for Project Management - This step is vital to create values, attitudes and practices that will support EPM citizenship roles.
  3. Create A Project Management Office -Excellence in EPM will be achieved when the four separate departments are linked through standard PM practices.

QPM emphasizes that these first steps must be completed successfully by BASS. When completed, the proposed improvements will be lead to a more flexible and profitable enterprise that will leverage the ownership change \Yell into the future.
