Communication and Team Building
Throughout the term, we have often questioned whether we were really functioning as a team and have searched for some obvious indication that would confirm or deny this. In our Team Success Surveys, we gave ourselves relatively low ratings for "resolving disagreements" and "evaluating our own effectiveness" as we had very little conflict and felt that we could only discover our effectiveness as a team through conflict management. We were probably being too hard on ourselves, as a possible explanation for the lack of conflict lies in an examination of the cultural variables of the team members using Dr. Dragan Milosevic's chart for "Determining Your Cross-Cultural Team/Project Management Strategy".
