Abstract

With the rapid increase in demand and adoption of IoT devices - smartwatches, fitness trackers, VR headsets, wireless sensors, monitoring devices etc., the advantage for semiconductor industries and electronic industries is also growing. Advances in technology and decline in the prices of electronic components have increased the sale of mobile phones over the past two decades. Cloud storage services are growing due to huge market opportunities. With this rapid growth, semiconductor devices needs are also accelerating. Various players in electronics industries are continuously improving in terms of - aesthetics, size, and features. One of the players is Plexus Corp. which comes in the top 10 list of world’s best Electronic Manufacturing Services . In this report we will study about the manufacturing processes and Supply Chain Solutions in Plexus. First we will study the methodology used to study these fields in Plexus on a deeper level. We will go through major electronics expertise of Plexus i.e. Microelectronics. We will go through the expansion of microelectronics services and its rewards. Then we will be going through the Supply Chain Management in Plexus with Management strategies and competition. We will also do SWOT analysis for the semiconductor industry.
