Abstract

Norway rats are a common commensal invasive pest known to utilize bird & wildlife feeders as preferred food sources. In order to reduce rodenticide pollution and severe economic damages, it is essential that bird & wildlife feeding practices are widely discouraged to control urban rat populations naturally. Native shrubs should be installed to encourage native birds, wildlife & pollinator species without attracting invasive rat pests.
