Abstract

I would like to thank a lot of people—probably too many for the space I have. Firstly, I would like to thank my Grandma Kaye who has been a major form of support for me in many ways. I hope to one day be as selfless, kind, and genuine as she is. Second, are my parents who have taught me to constantly question the world around me and always ask ‘why?’. Without them and their unconditional love, I would not be where I am today. Third, is my Grandma Rita who has always pushed me to be myself and to have my own opinion. I like to think I have inherited her creativity, humor, and swearing. Lastly, I would like to thank everyone who has been there over the years. To Tina (who stayed by my side even when she was hundreds of miles away), Jenny (who pushed me to stand up for myself and be true), Basti (who held me when I cried and laughed), Emma (who taught me true kindness) and everyone in my cohort: I am so honored to have you all in my life and to keep learning from you every single day. Without these people I would not have gotten through this wild year, and I have a feeling they’ll be by in my life for many years to come.
