Abstract

In this article, the author discusses issues pertaining to improvement of health systems, comparing the systems with Victorian ball gown. He states that significant elements of the improvement processes of the systems like removal of clutter, and workflow and paperwork, and mentions roles of industrial and systems engineering beyond business process improvement. He highlights the need of commitment for improving the systems by business enterprises.
