Abstract
This paper covers the most common and comprehensive literature that is available on Knowledge‐Based view. Knowledge‐based view is a relatively new theory and knowledge is difficult to measure. This paper further includes couple examples on how knowledge‐based view can be an extension of Porters five forces for future research. This paper is concluded with the fact that the linkage between knowledge and firm’s components are missing or incomplete, and that is the main factor for the firm’s existence and without that we cant see the direct relationship with knowledge‐based and its relationship with performance, the most important component for knowledge‐based view to become a theory of the firm.
