Abstract
The paper is intended to help small to mid size construction companies become better at the process of managing construction projects. As we all know, competition is high, and in order to make the project profitable cost saving tactics must be applied. Based on observations and analysis of a few construction companies we will develop a set of reasons as why many construction companies fail in effectively managing their projects. Outline some of the wrong practice used in the process of construction management, and there consequences. We will also introduce tools and methods that would help better manage the construction project, based on the concepts learned from “Project Management: A Managerial Approach.” As well as literature provided to the construction industry.
