Abstract
In the management of innovation, a very important aspect is the diffusion of innovation. According to Rogers [1]: “Diffusion is the process by which an innovation is communicated through certain channels over time among the members of a social system”. Rising petrol/diesel prices have made people look for alternative fuels. One of alternative fuel which is getting very popular in developing countries is Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). Despite of its advantages, CNG is not a popular fuel for vehicles in the US. In this paper, I have tried to identify the advantages of CNG, the economic feasibility of conversion of vehicle to CNG, and lastly the factors affecting the diffusion and adoption of this innovation in the US.
