Abstract
This paper is a case study of a server consolidation project at CorpX. CorpX is a fictitious name for a real company that asked that its real name not be used. The case study is based on “Real Life Project Analysis – Guidelines” by Aaron J Shendar[1]. The case study was developed by first interviewing four key project team participants; The IT Director, the IT Infrastructure Manager, the Project manager and a core team member. The interviews were followed up with several informal discussions. After the interviews, available project documents were reviewed but, the companies management asked that they not be included in the report (they can be discussed). Once the data was gathered the paper was written following Shendar’s Guidelines.
