Abstract

This paper is a self-assessment created by Team XL in order to analyze the team’s performance during Winter Term 2006. All five team members agree that we have worked in an extraordinarly positive team environment for the past 10 weeks. This report provides a wellstructured insight into our interactions and methods, by using the tools and frameworks we have been exposed to through this class. We used the tools to provide an in-depth analysis which illustrates our goals and successes and the processes Team XL went through to accomplish them. By investigating our team-work along different dimensions which were critical to our performance, we show the proccess through which Team XL exceeded our expectations. The dimensions comprise the dynamics and transitions over time, as well as static tools that are meant to assess the impact of different skill sets, cultural backgrounds, and experiences on our team performance. Since we heavily used the tools and methods provided by the class this report will serve as a valuable document for future team building situations. Thus the report is not only the documentation of the life-span of a great team, but it also serves as a checklist for the forming stage of any new team we will participate in, in the future.
