Abstract
Total Quality Management is a quality philosophy that is popular today. Consolidated Metco does not use this philosophy. One of the main tenets of TQM is that management must support the process. Management personnel were interviewed for their attitudes concerning TQM. They were somewhat hostile to TQM. Con Met quality was assessed using the Malcolm Baldridge Award criteria. The author would not recommend a TQM program at Con Met.
