Abstract
In a globalize world, where the competitiveness of the companies is continuously challenged by competitors from around the world, the survival of companies depends on the continuous development of individual as well as of the collective capabilities. Although much has been made of the trend towards knowledge and technology outsourcing by firms and organizations, few studies have attempted to analyze the specific factors associated to use such external technological knowledge sources and benefits and barriers the firms are facing when sourcing technology externally. So the focus of the paper will be on the decision making process associated with the sourcing of new technological knowledge and to establish the criteria for the effective management of the company decisions through the development of a decision support framework and also the simple steps involve in the success factors associated with the firms when they make the outsourcing decisions.
