Abstract

As more decision makers employ institutional initiatives to propel new technologies into business systems, it is important to understand how people’s perceptions and competence are likely to influence their commitment to different courses of strategic action. Therefore, consider the words “enhancing” and “competence” in the phrase “competence enhancing”. Enhancing is the process of improving the quality, of making better; and competence, in the same phrase, is the condition of being competent, well qualified, capable, fit to accomplish the requirements of the position. The purpose of this paper is to show that by focusing on technological change and improvement of employees, companies can enhance their core competencies, and therefore manage change.
