Abstract
The main concept being studied is antecedents of intergroup conflict in multifunctional teams. The authors of this paper discuss two different types of intergroup conflict that are activated by functional diversity; the task and emotional conflicts. In addition, the authors have developed a conceptual model of intergroup conflict based on research literature and field interviews.
