Abstract
This paper compares and contrasts the strategy and policy issues that drive the two main rivals in the global commercial aircraft industry: Airbus and Boeing. Each company is analyzed along four metrics: its historical context, its leadership, the external forces acting on it, the internal forces affecting it from within.
