Abstract
Established in 1977, Oracle has grown into the second largest Software Company in the world. According to President Charles Phillips who quickly discounts Microsoft as a monopoly, Oracle is the largest software company in the world. Oracle's principle activities are to develop, manufacture, market and distribute computer software through separate business segments including, new software licensing, software licensing updates, consulting, advanced product services and education. Oracle CEO, Larry Ellison is one of the original founders of the company and brings a special style of leadership to the helm. His leadership. undisputedly, drives the company vision, R&D and overall innovation. Larry makes it clear that Oracle is now, and has always been, the main innovator in the software industry. This strategy and issues report will discuss the above, in combination with Oracle's customers, revenues, marketing and competition, all of which make Oracle what it is today.
