Abstract

In Washington County there is poor planning that encompasses construction projects where projects often are over budget and run late. To better organize construction projects at Washington County a PMO will be implemented. After the situation is analyzed, benefits of a PMO will be discussed as a way of performing duties better with information and training. The development of tools and techniques will be introduced as a way to achieve quantitative performance measures. When implementing the PMO, phases of assessment, planning, and implementation will be thoroughly discussed within the organization. Plans will be made to document processes for continuous improvement. Workshops will be held to work out issues and a continuous Process of improvement will be developed so that the PMO is effective. Within this paper, all of this will be discussed.
