Abstract
This paper analyzes the challenges of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) and provides solutions to these challenges in order to revamp their competitive advantage. This paper revises the evolution of economics from the basic theories of productivity maximization to the latest trends in knowledge management. This evaluation establishes the background of the Value-Based Theory (VBT) which is our basic tool to analyze company operations. Finally, based on previous analysis and situational assessment, this paper suggests a solution, the Capabilities Collaboration Platform, to revamp SME competitiveness. The CC Platform is a business-to-business system that integrates and streamlines the value creation of small businesses processes.
