Abstract
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Lane Incorporated is a construction company based in Beaverton, Oregon. We have a small number of employees, approximately 85 to be exact. Over the number or years, there has been growing concerns of the retirement benefits to our employees in which has now forced us to re-examine our needs that will satisfy both the company and employees needs. A few note-worthy benefits of a retirement plan for the company includes competitive advantage in employee recruitment and retention, employee tax advantages, and increase positive employee attitude and performance. Working on this project are three members of upper-level management. Each of these managers is coming from different departments within the company: one from operations, one from finances, and one from human resources. The company’s CEO felt that the varying managers coming from different departments will oversee the majority of different types and styles of employees’ needs.
