Abstract:
The purpose of this literature-based paper is to study issues and trends in the area of human interaction and technology for communication in distributed teams. The paper begins with team typology to distinguish different types of teams and define what constitutes a distributed team. Then, the shared fundamental concepts of conventional teams and distributed teams and possible proposed key success factors, suggestion on implementation, and investigation on communication channels available for distributed teams are presented.
