Abstract
Abstract
The aim of this report is to statistically analyze the contributions of direct and indirect government funding and supports to business funded-and-performed R&D by doing statistical correlation and regression analyses with the help of data obtained from OECD Directorate of Science, Technology and Industry, which covers 30 OECD countries from 1981 to 2002. I use government funding of business R&D as a direct measure and R&D spending amounts of government and higher educations as indirect measures.
