Abstract
Abstract: The public schools in Portland have been affected due to the fact of potential budget but of the next year. Keeping in mind that education is one of the cornerstones in the development of a country; we should focus on how the budget cut would be diminished without damaging the quality of the education. According to an estimation made by Portland Public Schools Association, the current general fund budget is around $367 million and expected budget cut is approximately $36-40 million. Therefore, the reduction could be calculated almost 10% for the coming year.
