Abstract
Introduction:
Tektronix is a test, measurement, and monitoring, company that provides measurement solutions to the semiconductor, computer, and telecommunication industries. Tektronix's initial success began in 1946 when founder Howard Vollum developed a way to measure and display high-speed electrical signals. Tektronix's became a major player in the test and measurement field after the introduction of its first / commercial product, the 511 oscilloscope. Tektronix has always excelled in its core technology field, test and measurement. The company started in this field and has come 360 degrees back to the same field after half a decade of dabbling in technologies outside of it's core competencies.
