Abstract
The use of good management tools is a requirement for organizations to successfully compete in today's competitive environment. Technology is changing at a faster pace and products life cycles are becoming shorter. To successfully manage in this type of environment, organizations need to communicate effectively, work as a team, and be better, faster and cheaper than the competition. Project management help organization do just this. It gives them the tools required to understand the environment, and puts in the required controls and systems to consistently and effectively communicate throughout the organization. This paper describes how project management is being applied to a Ball Grid Array Development Process project currently in progress and the advantages it is giving to the organizations involved.
