Abstract
The study project describes the process of the realization of the engine Vulcain, future propulsor of Ariane, the French satellite carrier. The SEP (European Propulsion Agency) has been in charge of the project since 1991. The training period at the SEP, as an engineer in the material department, allowed the author to observe the different mechanisms involved in this type of project management. This study is limited to the design, fabrication and testing of the engine Vulcaine, a project which is expected to extend over 5 years.
