Abstract
The feasibility of implementing a paperless engineering documentation system for a small electronic company is investigated with focus on the human factors. The current documentation system which consists of a hybrid paper and computer base solution is described in detail. Results from interviews and plant tours are presented as concerns and desirable features suggested by the end users for the new paperless documentation system. Recommendations based on this specific case could be applied to other manufacturing environments.
