Abstract
The Personal Digital Assistant is currently an expanded industry. The PDA market divided into two major groups: Palmtop (Palm OS) and Pocket.PC (Window CE). How the merger between the two leading company in Pocket PC market, HP and Compaq, on Sep 4 2001, will affect the whole industry of PDA market and how the consequent future of PDA will be are the main objectives of this project.
Using monitoring methodology, this project will attempt to detect technological and contextual changes in the Pocket PC market, using historical information, current information from the state of art, information from handheld experts and in general from the context in which the handheld market has developed.
