Abstract
This report is based on the Emotional Intelligence research in different sources like articles from Harvard Review, PSU Library resources including academic articles and reports but especially the Emotional Intelligence literature from Daniel Goleman. The report includes the main four research areas of Emotional Intelligence: Self Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness and Relationship Management. We find that the level of Emotional Intelligence can impact communication and team building. Each team member can develop empathy between each other, but the Team Leader Emotional Intelligence relationship management will have the main effect in the team performance. It can be concluded that the higher the leader Emotional Intelligence, the higher team performance and the higher organizational success.
