Abstract
The success of Dell Computer Corporation in the past two decades has been enormous. Dell has grown from a dorm room enterprise in 1983 with $1,000 in capital to becoming the top selling Personnel Computer (PC) manufacturer in the world, making it a multi-billion dollar corporation. Certainly there must have been a successful strategy behind all of this growth. This report will briefly describe the history of this innovative company and review their growth. Then it will focus on their primary strategy, the "Direct Model", both in the past and present.
