Abstract
Underwriter's Laboratories (UL) has analyzed its project processes for safety certification. Management, based on customer feedback and market changes, determined the current project process was in need of change. A project (titled ReEngineering) to redesign the Conformity Assessment (CA) project process was implemented with a pilot project based on two product categories, lighting and Information Technology Equipment (ITE), at six sites (five domestic and one international).
