Abstract
Teledesic is a nine billion dollar project lead by two well-know investors, Bill Gates and Craig McCaw. The intention is to put 288 satellites at low earth orbit to create an Internet in space-providing direct satellite links to personal computers to all part of the globe. This report examines Teledesic from an engineering economics perspective.
