Abstract

This report examines Uber as a pioneer in the evolution of the transportation industry and looks at the different impacts of their technology management in this industry and other businesses and industries as well. Furthermore, this report also reviews the ultimate goal of Uber and assesses how strategic management of technology of Uber along with a new vision of the transportation industry, helped this company to win the competitive advantage in the taxicab market and have successfully made this market more efficient and gained passenger’s trust with their services. Additionally, this report examines how Uber navigates effectively and more successfully in the competitive marketplace by improving its strategic flexibility. This research report was written as a literature review and was exploratory and qualitative in nature.
