Abstract
Camp Yakety Yak is a summer day camp for special needs kids that provides course credit and training hours for speech and language student volunteers. These students need to be supervised by a certified professional speech and language pathologist 25% of the time they spend at camp. This report describes a binary program (linear program) that models and solves this scheduling problem using the OpenSolver add-in for Excel. The result is schedule that the camp can use which ensures the supervising requirements are met.
