Abstract
This research report is a literature review predominantly of journal articles which present qualitative data collected from studies of virtual teams, cultural values, and a combination of both. The communication challenges of virtual teams are delineated followed by the presentation of the Hofstede model to examine cultural differences. Strategies to enhance communication to overcome the difficulties of global virtual teams are presented.
