Abstract
This report examines the process of introducing a new technology into manufacturing. The process is divided into the design and transfer phases. Each phase is further broken down into components. Design is examined through design process, manufacturing cost analysis and tool analysis. Transfer is broken down to communication, test proof, documentation, staffing and training. In addition, we examine the sociological aspects of the introduction of a new technology
