Abstract
This report discusses the meaning and measurement processes for productivity, the reasons for measurement, and its business and social implications. The methods for measuring productivity in a creative environment such as Design Engineering of R&D are explored and a list of suggested measurement techniques derived from literature search, interviews and case studies are presented.
