Abstract
This report investigates personnel assignments in preventive maintenance programs. A Linear Programming model was developed to determine optimal personnel assignment to tasks for one of five product lines in a food manufacturing plant. Subjective assessments of task requirements and personnel skills are made, and a matrix developed that displays the efficiency of a technician in the performance of any given task.
