Abstract
NW Natural is a publicly traded utility headquartered in Portland, Oregon, United States. The company is a primary distributor of natural gas and serves residential, industrial and commercial consumers in the Pacific Northwest.
The project aims at improving the current centralized resource management center department to ensure efficient assignment of work for completion of work orders to meet corporate targets. This project attempts to find an optimum solution for the problem by minimizing time and cost by appropriate resource utilization using mathematical optimization modeling concepts.
