Abstract
This article is a proposal for the institution of a Project Management Office (PMO) for our mid-level applications development company, TB Fud. The article summarizes the cost benefit and time to market advantage a PMO offers and advocates the institution of a PMO at TB Fud. The project plan shows how a PMO would be developed and how it would operate using current project management tools. This proposal demonstrates how a PMO office can streamline the project process providing a consistent and controlled approach to application development projects. It also demonstrates the potential cost savings of a PMO when compared to application projects performed without a uniform approach. The proposal summarizes the benefits of project management and the institution of a PMO to increase the success of application development.
