Abstract
The project management office in Kraft is responsible for all the six sigma activities within the company. In 2011 over 400 yield and quality improvement projects were successfully completed under PMO six sigma master black belt’s leadership. All of these technical projects use the six sigma DMAIC approach and each phase of DMAIC is used as a milestone with a generic due date. Gant charts are then developed for each project’s milestone and for the entire project. Responsibility Matrix, Risk management, cost estimates and Earn value analysis are not normal practices for current Kraft PMO strategy. Although time and cost of the projects are important to the organization, however the main focus of the organization is on the quality aspect of the projects.
