Abstract
The goal of this article is to research alternative decision models for outsourcing and to focus specifically on supplier selection models. The main outcome of supplier selection models is to rank alternative organizations against one another, in order to aid management in deciding which organization to outsource their activities to. There are many methods introduced in literature but no direct comparison of these methods has been done. This paper recreates an existing case study using AHP/DEA and implements an alternative method on the same case study, namely DEA using weight restrictions, cross efficiencies and super efficiencies. The managerial implications of the differences between these models are also focused on.
